US Southern Command released footage on Sunday showing what it says is a strike on a vessel operating along alleged drug trafficking routes in the Caribbean Sea.

Reuters was not able to independently verify the location and the date when the video was filmed. No earlier version of the video was found posted online before October 4, 2026.

The US military said the attack targeted a "go-fast" boat based on what it described as confirmed intelligence.

Southern Command said four people it identified as "narco-terrorists" were killed in the strike.

The latest operation comes amid ongoing criticism from human rights groups and UN experts who have questioned the legality of such attacks.
